저자인 주서택 목사와 김선화 박사는 1992년 한국교계 최초로 성경 심리학의 관점으로 마음을 치유하는 '성서적 내적치유 세미나'를 시작하였다. 저자는 예수그리스도의 구속의 약속을 구체화시켜 인간 심리문제를 풀어가는 ‘The New Covenant Model’ 심리 모델을 만들고 이 모델을 골격으로 30년간 내적 치유 세미나와 사역을 진행하고 있다.
이 세미나는 현재까지 한 해도 거르지 않고 계속 진행되어 한국 교계 최장기 세미나가 되었다. 그동안 정기세미나 현장에 참여 한 개인 참석자만 6만여 명에 이르며 교회 단위 집회는 미국, 일본, 영국 등 을 포함하여 국내외 적으로 수백 곳에 이른다.

This book is the English edition of a best-selling Christian book in South Korea, initially published in 1997. The book has sold an estimated 230,000 copies in Korea. The book explains Biblical Inner Healing, the healing inside people through the Holy Spirit, with the biblical foundation and actual cases. Biblical inner healing is to know and experience God as practical help and a healer for our wounded hearts.
The authors, Rev. Joo and Dr. Kim, initiated their inner healing ministry vision in 1992 with the first Biblical Inner Healing Seminar in Korea. They developed the New Covenant Model, a psychological model based on the binding promises of Jesus Christ. Based on the model, they have regularly held the Biblical Inner Healing seminar for the past thirty years. So far, more than 60,000 people have attended the seminar. They have visited hundreds of churches not only in Korea but also in Japan, the US, the UK, and so on for the inner healing ministry.

1952년 3월 2일 출생. 안양대학교 신학 학사, 안양대학교 신학대학원 석사. 청주주님의교회 담임목사, 내적치유사역연구원 원장 등으로 오랫동안 C.C.C. 영적운동과 제자화사역에 헌신하며 전인구원 사역에 힘써왔다. 정부로부터 '국민에게 희망을 준 157인중 한 사람'으로 선정되었으며 충청북도를 움직이는 50인중에 한 사람으로 선정되기도 하였다. 보건복지부장관 표창, 충북도민대상과 청주시문화상을 수상했고, 국가로부터 국민훈장 석류장을 수상하였다. 저서로는 '마음에 숨은 속사람의 치유'와 '내적치유의 현장-엄마가지마', '성서적 내적 치유세미나', '답답합니다 도와주세요'가 있다.
