  • A world where everything is connected and driven by platform-based mobility "How long should South Korea chase Davos or CES and benefit others?" The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is held in Las Vegas every January, attracts the attention of the world, where the best global companies from each country participate to showcase the [latest] technologies and trends of the future humanity, where the success or failure of participating companies are foreshadowed. What is CES really about? The author, who graduated from university in the United States and studied global business all his life, saw 9 million Jews are influential figures of politics, economy, culture and history all around the world. We studied how a small number of Jews came to lead the world, and they realized that they created values and philosophies, but also education and systems to achieve global success. Based on this, following the first book ¡°Startup Israel¡±, which introduced successful Israeli stories, this book presents a concrete solution for South Korea to become the world's wealthiest country like Israel. When comparing sales and profits of Apple, Nvidia and Amazon in the U.S, CES sales and profits exceed all three of them. At CES, you will not only participate in exhibitions, but also experience everything about the U.S, including culture, art, economy and technology. This is the beauty of platform business. The author asks how long South Korea should follow Davos or CES to spend money and benefit other countries, and now argues that South Korea should also create a MICE platform business like CES. In the days of poverty, South Korea would not be where it is today, if it had not built highways and steel mills despite the harsh opposition from almost the entire population. The future is up to the creative minority who prepares for the future. The book provides the latest trends in various future industries that consist of Mobility of Things industry, such as self-driving cars, robots, drones, semiconductors, secondary batteries, hydrogen, and smart cities. The book suggests directions for South Korea to earn global competitiveness. The author plans to hold ¡°MoT Global Show¡± in South Korea to seize the fast growing MoT market in order to promote South Korea's economic growth. It also discusses thorough concerns about solving climate and environmental problems for the next generation, and business pie for the future through M.o.T. Emphasizing the potential growth of Mobility of Things market, it is expected that South Korean economy can take a leap forward.
