  • Above all, the greatest feature of Song Soo-nam¡¯s sumuk paintings is that it combines the art world of the past, the current, and the near future. Song stylistically possesses an open position regarding all areas from concepts to abstractions. However, the physical form of concepts and abstractions is unimportant because nature is what bears art, according to Song. Drawing nature as the eye sees it is conceptual, and drawing as you feel is abstract. Thus, the physical expressions of concept and abstraction aresimilar to the inner and outer elements of an object for Song. ?
