Dr. In whan Jung has been teaching for 12 years at Hyupsung University, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea. His teaching subjects are: Urban Policy Theory, Urban Environmental Management, Environmental Policy Theory, and Civil Society & NGOs. Dr. Jung, Ph.D. in Philosophy, majored in Public Policy and specialized in Energy and Environmental Policy. He stayed for nearly 10 years at University of Delaware (DE, USA), winning M.A. in 1992 and Ph.D. in 1998. His undergraduate background is Economics which supported his doctoral research on energy options and their economic and environmental attributions. He finalized his doctoral thesis dealing with energy systems and its possible alternatives under the Korea¡¯s status quo local circumstances and the global imperatives of countermeasures against Climate Change.
Dr. Jung has spent his one-year sabbatical period at Fenner School, Australian National University (Canberra, Australia) with his family. While he was at Fenner School, he has spent more time on studying the prevailing issues of water and forestry managements which have been two major climate change topics in Australian research and public policy areas as well. He has been also undertaking research on ethics and regulations on local council members. This co-authored book is one of the academic products after long-time research and series of analyses on public servants¡¯ corruption and ethics.
